Job description
Role: Oracle Retail Architect
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) Consultant to lead and support RMS implementations, upgrades, and production support. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle Retail applications, strong functional knowledge of merchandising processes, and experience in integrating RMS with other Oracle Retail modules and external systems.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Support:
Lead end-to-end implementation and support of Oracle RMS solutions.
Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure SLA compliance.
Configuration & Enhancements:
Configure RMS modules (Item Management, Purchase Orders, Pricing, Inventory, Supplier Management).
Develop functional specifications for enhancements and work with technical teams for delivery.
Integration & Data Management:
Support integration between RMS and other Oracle Retail modules (ReIM, RPM, SIM) and external systems.
Manage data migration and validation during upgrades or new implementations.
Testing & Documentation:
Conduct unit testing, SIT, and UAT for changes and new implementations.
Maintain detailed documentation for processes, configurations, and customizations.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and provide solutions.
Act as a subject matter expert for merchandising processes and Oracle Retail best practices.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in Oracle Retail, with at least 5 years in RMS.
Strong functional knowledge of merchandising processes: Item setup, Purchase Orders, Pricing, Inventory Management.
Hands-on experience in Oracle Retail RMS v12 or higher.
Good understanding of integration with ReIM, RPM, SIM, and external systems.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Oracle Retail Certification in RMS.
Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and ability to perform basic debugging.
Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy) and ITIL processes.
Familiarity with cloud deployments and performance tuning.
